Bramblett-Platt
Marriage of Richard Bramblett & Patsy Platt
Dallas Morning News
December 10, 1961

After their Saturday afternoon wedding ceremony in Perkins Chapel on the SMU campus and a reception at the Dallas Country Club, Richard H. Bramblett and his bride, the former Miss Patsy Jo Platt, left for a trip to the West Coast.

The bride, 6151 E. Mockingbird Lane, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Platt of Magnolia, Ark. She attended North Texas State University and is a member of Chi Omega sorority and the Cimarron Club.

Mr. Bramblett, a former student at the University of Houston and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, is the son of Mrs. O.H. Bramblett of Forney and the late Mr. Bramblett.

Dr. W.A. Welsh read the marriage vows and Robert Anderson presented the music.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz-length gown of peau de soie fashioned with a pleated bodice and bell skirt. A coif of peau de soie held the shoulder-length bridal veil and the bride carried white roses.

Mrs. R.W. Kaebnick of Ada, Okla., was the bride's matron of honor and Jess T. Hay was the bridegroom's best man. Guests were seated by George R. Platt of Richardson, George Venner of Mesquite and Don R. Harlow, San Antonio.

The couple will live at 3224 Northaven Court.
