MESQUITE, Texas - Miss Laura Gail Daugherty and Larry Wayne Dean were married at the First Baptist Church. After a New Orleans honeymoon, they will reside in Mesquite.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Daugherty and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde C. Dean.

Dr. James H. Stanley of Forney officiated at the Friday nuptials. Miss Nancy Hatley of Forney and Mrs. James Evans provided music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace accented with lace medallions, pearls and sequins. Her finger-tip veil of illusion was caught to a pearl crown. She carried white roses and a white orchid on a Bible.

Miss Joan Dean, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and Miss LaVonne Hardin was bridesmaid. Charles Dills of Dallas was best man. Edward Cooksey of Terrell was groomsan. Larry Clarkson, Jim Shero, Tommie Bean and Bill Thompson ushered. Candles were lit by Sam Rutledge and Richard Dale Keen of Terrell. Judy Dean was flower girl and Johnnie Hooper was ring bearer.

The reception was held at the church.
