Gloria Gill Becomes Bride of R.C. Hulsey at Terrell

Miss Gloria Gill, daughter of Ben L. Gill Jr. of Terrell, was married to Riter Carol Hulsey of Freeport, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Hulsey of Forney, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Terrell, Saturday evening. The Rev. Roy L. Gaskill officiated and Flight Lieut M.W. Palmer, organist, and Miss Frederick Raike, violinist, presented the music.

Mr. Gill gave his daughter in marriage. The bride wore an ivory satin gown made with a V-shaped neckline and a net yoke outlined with Chantilly lace. Lace formed small panels down the sides of the bodice and across the low wasitline. The long fitted sleeves came to points at the back of the wrists. The full skirt fell over hoops to form a graceful train, and the veil of ivory illusion and heirloom lace was caught to a cap and fell full length over the train. Her strand of pearls was a gift of the bridegroom and her flowers were white orchids, encircled with white sweet peas and bouvardia.

Miss Ann Townes of Houston was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Constance McCord, Miss Patricia Allen and Miss Emily Rash, all of Terrell, and Mrs. B.B. Hulsey Jr. of Forney, B.B. Husley Sr. of Forney was best man. Ushers were W.P. Allen of Terrell, J.K. Brooks of Forney, R.E. Abernathy Jr. and R.E. Abernathy Sr., both of Dallas.

Guests from Dallas were Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Rutherford, Alan Rutherford, Dr. and Mrs. E.R. Rutherford, Ronald Rutherford, Dr. and Mrs. H.P. Harber, Harry Harber, Bennett Harber, Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Abernathy, Mrs. R.E. Abernathy Jr., Mrs. Jack Aspinwall, Mr. and Mrs. Summerfield Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Toole, Mrs. Joseph Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Brooks Jr.

As the bride and bridegroom left for their home in Freeport, Mrs. Hulsey was wearing a beige wool tailleur with a gilet of dark brown velvet. Her jewels were emeralds and her accessories were dark brown. She had a shoulder bouquet of orchids. The bride is a former student of the Hockaday Junior College and the University of Texas, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. The bridegroom attended TCU and was graduated from the University of Texas and Harvard business school. He is a Phi Delta Theta.
