Dallas Morning News
September 1, 1957

Miss Nelda Louise Brummett of Mesquite and Dallas was married Saturday night to Jimmy Dick Adams in a ceremony read by the Rev. Bill Bigs at Long Creek Baptist Church.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Brummett of Mesquite and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eugene Adams of Forney. The bridegroom is a former student of SMU.

Miss Sarah Lewis of Carrollton presented music for the wedding, and Mr. Brummett gave his daughter in marriage.

The bride wore a gown of tulle over taffeta and a fingertip-length veil. She carried an orchid with carnations.

Miss Elizabeth Brummet of Mesquite was her sister's attendant, and Jerry Adams of Forney was his brother's best man. Ushers were Billy Brummett of Mesquite and Jackie Adams of Forney, brothers of the couple. The bride's sisters, Janet and Jane Brummett, lighted candles.

The newlyweds will reside in Terrell.
