Unknown Forney Paper

The death angel came into our midst and took from the home of Mr. and Mrs. O.P. Farmer one of their beloved sons.

Jack Farmer would have been 21 years old the 20 of next February. His funeral was held at the First Baptist church at Forney. Brother Bratton, his pastor and L.B. Jenkins of Mesquite held the funeral services. He died Thursday September the 9.

Jack was loved by all who knew him. He was a noble young man. He had a winning way, and everyone loved to be in his presence and in his home.

We cannot tell why God took him away from his parents and friends, but God doeth all things well, and someday we all will understand. But oh, how we do miss him. We will miss his sweet singing as it floated out through the air to us as he did his daily work.

Jack was sick but a few days when God said it is enough, you have suffered long enough, you are my child, you have excepted [sic] my plan, come up higher. Come away from pain, come away from sorrow, come home and be happy for ever more.

It was hard for us to say good by [sic] to Jack. We loved him, we loved his sweet disposition.

He was a good Christian boy. He loved his pastor, he loved his parents. But we are all praying to meet him some sweet day.

He leaves behind a father, mother, one sister and brother, and a host of other relatives and friends.

His body was laid to rest in the Forney Cemetery. We will say to his grieved family, weep not for he is at rest and someday you can go to him where there will be no more partings and no more good buys [sic]. He is at rest in heaven, a place we all long to go.

May his going make us think more of heaven and less of this troubled world. The writer loved Jack because he was a noble boy.

May the Lord bless all that sorrowed over his death.
